Terms of Service

Effective 22 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-22

Draft — legal review pending. This document is our current working policy, written to match how SynVoice AI actually works today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change; we'll update the version date when it does.

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use SynVoice AI. We've tried to write them in plain language. Please read them; by creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. Who we are

SynVoice AI (“SynVoice”, “we”, “us”) is run by Synvertix Technologies Private Limited, a company based in Bengaluru, India. “You” means the person or organisation using SynVoice AI. If you use it for a company or team, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for them.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password and any API keys secret.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and your API keys, including credits spent. Tell us straight away at support@synvoiceai.com if you think either has been compromised.
  • Team workspaces: the workspace owner and admins decide who joins and can see how many credits each member used. Cloned voices are never shared into a workspace.

3. The service, and its beta status

SynVoice AI provides voice tools — text to speech, speech to text, translation, dubbing, voice conversion, voice design, audio editing and, where available, voice cloning — through our website and API. Parts of the service are in beta. Features, limits and prices can change, and the service can be interrupted or contain errors. We describe what each tool does and does not do on our Features and Developers pages.

Some processing is done for us by trusted partners (see our Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for a partner's outage, but we will tell you what we can and will not charge you for a request that failed.

4. Credits, prices and payments

  • You pay for the service in credits. What each tool costs is shown in the app and on our pricing and features pages. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.
  • Prices are in Indian rupees and shown before GST; 18% GST is added at checkout and you receive a tax invoice.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay or Cashfree. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Buy once is a single payment with no renewal. Subscribe monthly charges you every month through Razorpay and adds the plan's credits each time until you cancel. You can cancel any time on the Billing page; cancelling stops future charges, and you keep the credits you already have.
  • Validity. Credits you buy (once or by subscription) stay valid for 12 months from the day they are added; unused credits then expire. Free sign-up credits and beta bonus credits do not expire.
  • Credits are deducted only after a request succeeds. If we change prices, the change applies to future purchases and never to credits you already hold.
  • Free credits. When you confirm your email address you receive a small number of free credits to try the service. They are for personal evaluation, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Voice Conversion and Voice Design (which we pay a partner for in foreign currency) are available after your first purchase. Creating several accounts to collect free credits is not allowed; we may refuse or limit sign-ups from the same network, and suspend accounts and remove credits obtained that way.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

5. Your content

“Your content” is the text, audio, recordings and descriptions you give us. You keep all rights you have in it. You give us permission to process it — and to pass it to the partners that do the work — only as needed to provide the service to you.

You promise that you have the right to use your content this way and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. We don't keep the text or audio you process with our tools after the result is returned to you; what we do keep is described in the Privacy Policy.

Speech, transcripts and translations are produced by AI and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them, and do not use them as the only basis for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.

5A. Synthetic audio: marking and disclosure

  • Audio we generate carries an identifier in its file information (metadata) and we keep a record linking it to your account (see the Privacy Policy). You must not remove, alter or hide that identifier, or help anyone else do so.
  • You are responsible for telling your audience when audio is AI-generated wherever the law, a platform's rules or the circumstances require — for example when publishing it, or when it could be mistaken for a real person speaking.
  • You must not present synthetic audio as a genuine recording of a real, identifiable person, or use it to mislead people about what someone said or did.

6. Voice cloning and consent

  • You may create a voice only from your own voice.
  • To do so you must accept the rights declaration and record yourself reading a random phrase we give you, which includes a verification number. We check that the number was spoken and a person on our team reviews every submission. We may reject any voice for any reason connected with safety or misuse.
  • We keep the recording, your consent declaration and the technical details of your submission (time, IP address, browser) as evidence, until you delete the voice or your account.
  • You must never use the service to imitate another person without their clear permission. See our Acceptable Use Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may limit, suspend or end access, remove voices and content, and report unlawful activity to the authorities if you don't.

Complaints and takedowns. If someone reports that content made with SynVoice AI is unlawful, impersonates them or breaches their rights, or an authority or court orders us to act, we may act quickly — including disabling a voice, blocking generation and suspending the account — before hearing from you, and we may keep and disclose the records we hold about it (including account details and the identifier described in section 5A) to the person entitled to them or to the authorities as the law requires. We will usually tell you what happened and give you a chance to respond, unless the law or safety says otherwise.

8. API

API keys are for your own systems and must be kept on your server. Requests are rate limited. You may build products on the API but may not resell direct access to it as a competing API, or use it to build a competing voice platform, without our written permission.

9. Our property

The service, its software, design and brand belong to Synvertix Technologies Private Limited and our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the service without paying you.

10. No guarantees

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. AI output — speech, transcripts, translations and voices — can be inaccurate, biased or unsuitable, and similar output may be produced for other people. Features in beta can change or disappear.

11. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. If you break these terms

You agree to compensate us for loss and claims arising from your content or from your breach of these terms or the law. We may suspend or end your account for a serious or repeated breach; in that case unused credits may be forfeited.

13. Ending your account

You can stop using SynVoice AI at any time and delete your account from the Account page in the app. Cancel any subscription first. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy; unused credits are lost.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will tell you in the app or by email and update the version date above. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded. Please contact us first — most problems can be sorted out quickly.

16. General

  • Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refunds & Cancellation Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
  • If part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given it up.
  • Beyond our control. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of internet, power, cloud or payment providers, or government action.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your account. We may transfer these terms to a successor to our business.
  • Notices. We may notify you by email to the address on your account or in the app; you can reach us at the address below.
