Privacy Policy
Effective 22 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-22
This explains what personal data we collect when you use SynVoice AI, what we do with it, who else handles it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.
1. Who is responsible
Synvertix Technologies Private Limited, H No 26, Krishna Reddy Layout, Konappana Agrahara, Electronic City Phase 2, Near Varasiddi Vinayaka Temple, Bangalore, Karnataka 560100, is the “data fiduciary” for the personal data described here. Contact: support@synvoiceai.com.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Account: name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), whether you have confirmed your email, the version of these terms you accepted | To create and secure your account, send you a confirmation link and other account emails, and contact you about it. |
| The IP address your account was created from | To stop one person creating many accounts to collect free credits. |
| Phone number (only if you give it, e.g. to pay with Cashfree) | Required by the payment provider to process the payment. |
| Usage records: time, tool, language, voice, credits used, team workspace, API key used, and a provenance identifier for audio we generate — not the text or audio itself | To bill credits, show your history, prevent abuse, and be able to trace AI-generated audio back to the account that made it (see section 4). |
| Payments: plan, amount, GST, status, gateway payment reference (never card or bank details) | To give you credits, issue invoices and meet tax and accounting law. |
| Voice cloning: your consent recording, the words we heard in it, your declaration, time, IP address and browser | To verify consent and keep evidence that a voice was created with its owner's permission. |
| Team workspace membership and roles | To let teams share credits. |
| Beta requests, feedback and support messages you send | To respond to you and improve the service. |
| Technical and security logs: request id, page or endpoint, status, duration, your user id and IP address — not the text or audio you process | To keep the service running, find faults, detect abuse and investigate security incidents, as Indian cyber-security rules require. |
3. What we do not keep
When you use the speech, translation, dubbing, voice conversion or voice design tools, the text or audio you submit is sent to our processing partners to produce your result and is returned to you. We do not store it, and we do not keep the audio we generate. Our logs do not contain your text or audio. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Marking and tracing AI-generated audio
Indian rules expect AI-generated audio to be identifiable. Every audio file we generate carries an invisible identifier in its file information (metadata) naming SynVoice AI and a unique number. We record that number against the account, tool and time — never the audio — so that, if a clip is reported as misused, we can find which account made it. We may share that link with the authorities where the law requires. Removing the identifier is not allowed (see our Terms).
5. Your consent, and other lawful uses
We collect and use your data with your consent, which you give when you create an account and accept these documents, and separately when you submit a voice-cloning recording. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see section 10); withdrawing may mean we can no longer provide the service.
The law also lets us process data without consent for certain purposes, and we may do so where needed to: comply with a law, court order or request from a competent authority; keep tax and accounting records; protect people from fraud, abuse or serious harm, including investigating and removing unlawful synthetic content; secure our systems; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. Automated checks and human review
When you submit a voice-cloning recording, software transcribes it to check that the verification number was spoken, and a member of our team listens to it before the voice is approved. An automated check can wrongly reject a recording; you can record again or write to us and a person will look at it.
7. Who else handles your data
These companies process data on our behalf, only for the purpose shown, under their own terms and ours:
| Partner | What they receive | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Sarvam AI (India) | Text or audio you submit for text to speech, speech to text, translation and dubbing | Producing the result |
| ElevenLabs (outside India) | Audio you submit for voice conversion; the voice description and sample text for voice design | Producing the result |
| Razorpay and Cashfree (India) | Your name, email, phone and payment details you enter with them | Taking payment and managing subscriptions |
| Our hosting and infrastructure providers | All stored data described above | Running the service |
Sending data to ElevenLabs means it leaves India, and we do this only for the features named above. We may also disclose data when the law or a court requires it, in response to a valid request from an authority, or to protect people from harm. If our business is sold or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner, who must honour this policy.
8. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account details | Until you delete your account. |
| Voice recordings and consent evidence | Until you delete the voice or your account. |
| Payment and credit records | As Indian tax and company law require (generally up to 8 years). After you delete your account they are kept without your name. |
| Usage and provenance records | As long as needed for billing, accounting and tracing generated audio; after you delete your account they are no longer linked to your name. |
| Security and access logs (including IP address) | At least 180 days, as Indian cyber-security rules require, then deleted. |
| Backups | Deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 14 days until they are replaced. |
| Beta requests | Until we answer them, or until you delete an account with that email. |
| Anything needed for a legal claim, investigation or legal duty | For as long as that requires, even after deletion. |
9. Security and breaches
Passwords and API keys are stored only as one-way hashes. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to recordings and personal data is limited to people who need it — for example, staff who review voice-cloning submissions. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will report it to the authorities as the law requires and tell you, without unreasonable delay, what happened, what data was involved, what you can do, and who to contact.
10. Your rights and how to use them
- Access. Download everything we hold about you from the Account page (a JSON file).
- Correction and updating. Email us and we'll correct inaccurate or incomplete details.
- Erasure. Delete your account from the Account page. This removes your name, email, phone, voice recordings, consent evidence, API keys and feedback, and signs you out everywhere. Records we must or may keep (section 8) stay, without your name. Cancel subscriptions first; unused credits are lost.
- Withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or cannot — email us.
- Grievance. Write to the contact in section 13. We acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to give a reasoned reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, after first using our grievance process.
You are expected to give correct information, not to impersonate anyone, and not to file false or frivolous complaints.
11. Cookies and similar storage
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores your sign-in token and small preferences (such as which team workspace you are using) in local storage so the app works. Payment providers load their own scripts when you pay; their privacy policies apply to what they collect.
12. Children, and changes
SynVoice AI is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will tell you in the app or by email and update the version date above. Where the law requires fresh consent, we will ask for it.
13. Grievances and contact
For privacy questions and complaints, write with the subject “Privacy grievance” to support@synvoiceai.com, phone +91 97426 56566, or by post to Synvertix Technologies Private Limited, H No 26, Krishna Reddy Layout, Konappana Agrahara, Electronic City Phase 2, Near Varasiddi Vinayaka Temple, Bangalore, Karnataka 560100.
